ABOUT 4.8 million people will start paying Julia Gillard's controversial flood levy within months after the Prime Minister cut a deal to pass it through Parliament.

Almost 2000 new beds for asylum seekers in Darwin
ALMOST 2000 more beds for asylum seekers will be created on the mainland as the Gillard Government struggles to strike a deal for its controversial plan to shift boat people to East Timor.

Criminal driver wins licence to stalk
A CHAUFFEUR who stalked a former passenger and has been accused of harassing others has had his commercial licence reinstated in a controversial ruling.
The Sunbury man - whom the Herald Sun may not name for legal reasons - runs hire cars in Melbourne, including a limousine company that caters especially for women.The man's licence was cancelled in 2009 by the Victorian Taxi Directorate when he was found guilty of stalking a former client. ATM'S eject thousands in free cash after Commonwealth computer glitch
TWO young men have been charged over the Commonwealth Bank ATM debacle that allowed people to withdraw more money than was in their accounts.
